Yamato Nadeshiko Heavy Cruiser

Yet another Andromeda-inspired ship.

The epitome of endurance and elegance, the Yamato Nadeshiko-class Heavy Cruiser is built for impact, both visually and physically as it's hull and structure is reinforced with a new type of element called Porcelainium, recently discovered and it's properties not fully understood by modern science of the Gimpi Confederacy.

Dubbed "The Apparition" by friends and enemies, it can withstand ALL tactical obstacles short of artificial singularities thrown at it. Due to it's porcelainium-reinforced structure, it can survive impacting the planet's surface for up to five miles down the crust, intact, and can withstand a star's inner mantle without structural failure.

There are currently 30 commissioned ships of this class, and another 100 in construction.
